Rodent Control - Mice and Rats
Regal Pest Control technicians are fully licensed and trained to control the rodent issues on your property. Mice and rats can cause damage to not only the outside and inside of the home but their droppings can pose a serious health risk if left unaddressed.
By contacting our rodent control professionals, you are doing more than simply controlling the mice and rats at your location. A professional uses the most efficient baits, traps and has the experience necessary to control the rodent issue in an efficient way.
How we Control Mice and Rats
Our five step process to control the rodent issues at your location.
1
INSPECTION
Every quality service begins with a thorough initial inspection. Our technicians will look for entry-points and any environmental or construction issues that may allow access or that could contribute to the present or future rodent problems you’re having.
2
ASSESSMENT
After our initial inspection, our technicians will assess all reasonable solutions and will review the approach we’re recommending to resolve the issue. Often baits are the most effective solution to controlling the rodent population. However, our technicians will go over our recommended scope of service and will answer any questions you may have regarding the control methods and entry-points and/or harborage areas we’ve identified on your property.
3
BAITING OR TRAPPING
We offer trapping services for rodents, however baiting is the preferred method due to the rate at which mice and rats can breed. Bait blocks are placed in bait stations. Bait stations are boxes designed to contain the bait, with small openings on the sides of the station to allow the rodents to access the stations and to feed on the baits inside.
4
FOLLOW UP SERVICES
For initial visits, follow-up services are usually scheduled to check and replace the baits. The follow-ups provide a good indication of the level of activity and can provide other insight into the progress we’re making in controlling the infestation. The number of recommended follow-up services depends on the infestation level, however we typically schedule one or two follow-up services for most issues. We do offer service plans for customers who’d like continuous monitoring and re-baiting for rodents. Check out our service plans for more information!

EXCLUSION (IF POSSIBLE)
How do Mice and Rats Gain Access?
Mice and rats can gain access to the inside of your home, garage or structure through openings as small as 1/4″ (about the size of a dime) for mice and slightly larger for rats. They are very agile when it comes to looking for food sources and in establishing nesting sites. The following areas are common entry-points.
soffits
cracks and holes where brick meets siding
dryer vent slats that get brittle or stuck open
garage door corners where the weather stripping meets
worn or rotted foam around utility lines entering the structure
