Mice and Rats Are More Than a Nuisance

A single mouse produces 50 to 75 droppings per day. They chew through wiring, insulation, and structural material. They contaminate food and carry bacteria and pathogens. And they reproduce fast.

Regal uses a bait station program built around how rodents actually behave. We place tamper-resistant stations, use EPA-registered rodenticide, and return in two weeks to assess activity, replenish bait, and confirm the problem is resolved.

Our Rodent Control Program

A structured, two-visit program built around rodent biology.

1

Inspection

We inspect inside and out to identify activity, entry points, and harborage areas.

2

Station Placement

Tamper-resistant bait stations are placed along runways, entry points, and harborage areas inside and out.

3

2-Week Follow-Up

We return in approximately two weeks to assess bait consumption, replenish stations, and confirm activity has been eliminated.

4

60-Day Guarantee

Customers who complete the follow-up visit are covered by a 60-day re-treatment guarantee at no charge.

Why we strongly recommend the follow-up: Rodenticide takes several days to work. The follow-up lets us assess how much bait was consumed, replenish stations if needed, and verify the infestation has been resolved. It is billed as a separate visit and is also what qualifies the service for the 60-day guarantee.

The Equipment and Bait We Use

We use tamper-resistant bait stations and EPA-registered rodenticide applied by licensed Michigan technicians.

Exterior Bait Station Exterior tamper-resistant bait station

Exterior Tamper-Resistant Station

A low-profile, lockable bait station placed along the foundation, near entry points, and along exterior rodent runways. Designed to guide rodents to bait while keeping it inaccessible to children, pets, and non-target animals.

Tamper-resistant construction
Low profile follows the wall for natural rodent travel
Durable for year-round outdoor use
Interior Bait Station Interior tamper-resistant bait station

Interior Tamper-Resistant Station

A compact, lockable station sized specifically for mice, placed along interior walls, in basements, crawlspaces, and utility areas where rodent activity is identified. Built to perform in tight, enclosed spaces.

Sized for mice, not larger animals
Placed along wall edges and harborage areas
Lockable, opens only during technician visits
Rodenticide Bait Professional-grade rodenticide bait

Single-Feed Rodenticide

An anticoagulant rodenticide effective after a single feeding. Rodents do not need to return to the bait multiple times for it to work. Highly palatable formula improves acceptance.

Effective after a single feeding
EPA-registered, licensed-applicator product
Effective on mice and rats

All products are EPA-registered and applied by licensed Michigan pest control applicators in accordance with label directions. Safety data sheets are available on request.

Guarantee

Our 60-Day Re-Treatment Guarantee

Schedule a follow-up visit at approximately two weeks and your treatment is backed by a 60-day guarantee. New activity within 60 days of that visit? We return and re-treat at no charge.

Note: The 60-day guarantee applies to customers who complete the follow-up visit. The follow-up is billed separately and is how we confirm the bait has been taken and the infestation resolved.

Signs of Rodent Activity and Common Entry Points

The sooner a problem is identified, the easier it is to resolve.

Signs of Rodent Activity

  • Droppings along walls, in cabinets, behind appliances, or in the basement
  • Gnaw marks on food packaging, wood, wiring, or pipe insulation
  • Scratching or scurrying sounds in walls or ceilings, especially at night
  • Shredded nesting material such as paper, insulation, or fabric
  • Greasy rub marks along baseboards where rodents travel
  • A musty or ammonia-like odor in enclosed areas

Common Entry Points

  • Gaps around pipes and conduits at the foundation or walls. Mice need only a dime-sized opening.
  • Gaps under and around garage doors, including worn weatherstripping at the corners
  • Gaps around dryer vents, utility lines, and HVAC penetrations
  • Foundation cracks and gaps in the sill plate or rim joist
  • Missing or damaged door sweeps that do not seal to the floor
  • Roof-line areas including soffits, fascia gaps, and roof vents

Rodent Control FAQ

Have a question not listed here? Call us at 1-866-453-7221 or send us a message.

It is not required, but it is strongly recommended. The follow-up is a separate billed visit scheduled at approximately two weeks. Rodenticide takes several days to work, and the follow-up lets us assess bait consumption, replenish stations if needed, and verify the infestation has been resolved. It is also what qualifies the service for the 60-day re-treatment guarantee. Customers who skip the follow-up are not covered under the guarantee.
All stations we use are tamper-resistant and lockable. They are designed so rodents can access the bait but children and most pets cannot. Stations should not be treated as childproof. Your technician will discuss placement with you and can avoid any locations you are not comfortable with. For specific health concerns, we recommend reviewing our Risk/Benefit page or consulting your veterinarian.
You may continue to see activity for one to two weeks following the initial service. This is normal. The follow-up visit at approximately two weeks is when we assess whether the population has been controlled. Most residential infestations are resolved by that point. Larger or more established infestations may need additional visits or exclusion work.
Identifying entry points is part of the inspection. For minor gaps, your technician may apply exclusion material during the visit. For larger structural gaps, we will document and point these out to you. Comprehensive seal-up work is quoted separately. Eliminating entry points is the most important long-term step in preventing re-infestation.
If you see new rodent activity within 60 days of your completed follow-up visit, contact us and we will return and re-treat at no charge. Both the initial service and the follow-up must be completed. The guarantee does not cover structural conditions that allow ongoing access. If new or unaddressed entry points are present, those will need to be addressed as part of any re-treatment.
Yes. We treat both mice and rats. Station placement strategy differs between the two. Rats are more cautious and may take longer to feed. Let us know when you call whether you are seeing evidence of mice, rats, or both so we can prepare accordingly.
