Licensed & Certified Technicians Live Trapping Daily Trap Checks 5-Visit Program Family & Veteran Owned

Groundhog Problems on Your Property?

Groundhogs are powerful burrowers that can cause serious structural damage. Their tunnels regularly undermine foundations, concrete slabs, decks, patios, sheds, and retaining walls, often without any visible surface signs until real damage has already been done. A single groundhog can move hundreds of pounds of soil in a season.

Regal Pest Control technicians are licensed and trained to remove groundhogs using live trapping with appropriate bait and trap placement for the situation. Every program begins with a full on-site inspection before any traps are set.

Note on pricing: An additional per-animal removal charge applies for groundhogs. See our wildlife service terms for full pricing details.

Our Groundhog Removal Process

Every groundhog removal program follows the same five-step approach, starting with a thorough inspection before any traps are set.

1

Inspection

Every service begins with a thorough on-site inspection. Our technician will identify entry points, burrow locations, and any environmental or structural conditions contributing to groundhog activity on your property.

2

Assessment

After the inspection, our technician will review all reasonable solutions and walk you through the recommended approach. This includes the scope of the trapping service and what exclusion options, if any, are available at your location.

3

Trapping

We use traps appropriate for the species and situation, baited with species-specific attractants to minimize the chance of catching neighborhood pets or non-target wildlife. Trap type and placement are determined by our technician based on the on-site assessment.

4

Daily Follow-Up

We return daily to check traps, remove any captured animals, and rebait, reposition, or add traps as needed based on activity. Visits are spaced 24 hours apart to minimize the time any animal spends in a trap. Five visits total are included in the program.

5

Final Visit & Assessment

On the final visit we assess the results of the trapping program and advise on any next steps. Note that Regal Pest Control does not fill in or alter ground burrows as part of our wildlife services. If burrows are identified, addressing them is the responsibility of the property owner.
